Volunteerism

Aviation-Related:

• Founder of KPRB Paso Robles Pilots, where I support safe flying, and growing a sense of community
• Established the LiveATC audio feed for KPRB
• Flew for Civil Air Patrol, Paso Robles, am currently Deputy Commander for Sqdrn 103
  
• President of Cal-DART Central Coast providing airlifts of people and supplies, in times of emergencies

Emergency Medicine and Response:

• Was Technical Coordinator for Rescue-3, an all volunteer search & rescue group that serves motorsports events in the California desert.
• Volunteer EMT for: California D37 dirt-bike desert & GP races, MORE buggy races, Gorman rally race, Baker to Vegas law enforcement relay race. Standby and light search & rescue in my truck as well as mobile on dirt-bike.
• CERT, including US&R for fire evacuations
• Amateur ("ham") radio operator, member of North County ARES

Hobbies

• I will be putting my non-volunteer hobbies here, as needed
• Refurbishment of pre-WWII metal lathe
• Amateur Radio
  • Remote/wireless Rx/Tx site. Solar-powered with MPPT, Raspbarry Pi over AREDN network
  • UAT 978MHz ADS-B receiver for North County coverage for small G.A. aircraft
